Synopsis
Last chance to make a difference
Middle-aged auto mechanic Booker James receives a terminal cancer diagnosis and joins a support group of patients with similar conditions. As the group bonds, they decide to do something meaningful with their remaining time. Calling themselves “The Terminal Squad,” they set out on a possible suicide mission to stop a ruthless African warlord who enslaves women and children.
Pooling their resources and with help from Booker’s ex-brother-in-law, Eddie, they work out the details of their mission, including dividing into two distinct groups. Group One poses as an arms dealer offering the latest weapons technology to the warlord. Group Two works under the guise of buying children.
Both groups head for Africa. Meanwhile, Booker’s estranged and pregnant daughter hears about his illness and wants to reunite with him. Booker must choose between abandoning the mission and returning home.
When a member of the squad dies, his healthy son steps into his father’s role. Meanwhile, Booker discovers a mistake in his diagnosis and learns that he is not dying. He must now decide whether to go back home or help his friends fulfill their desire to perish with purpose and meaning.
The first group engages with the warlord to supply weapons. However, the warlord learns that the members are impostors. When a battle erupts, the warlord and his followers flee with dozens of enslaved children. Group Two arrives to stop the escaping villains. Some members of the Terminal Squad lose their lives, but the groups manage to save many children and defeat the warlord.
