D.W. Brown

D.W. Brown is an actor, writer, and director who first came to public attention starring as Ron Johnson in the iconic Fast Times at Ridgemont High. He went on to star in the feature film Mischief opposite Kelly Preston, and the blockbuster horror hit, A Haunting In Connecticut.

D.W. has been writing and directing his entire life. He wrote and directed the critically acclaimed play Fleas starring Jon Gries from White Lotus and the hit indie film On The Inside where he discovered Olivia Wilde in her first major film role. D.W. also wrote and directed the comedy web series Joanne Brown Is Here guest starring Jeff Goldblum, Robin Wright, and Justin Chon which was executive produced by former NBC president Warren Littlefield.

He has directed over 100 scenes as a master teacher at the DW Brown Acting Studio in Santa Monica and developed the careers of such greats as Leslie Mann, Robin Wright, and Justin Chon, and coached artists like Sam Raimi and Keanu Reeves. Most recently D.W. wrote and directed Brian Bell of Wheezer in a music video The Deep And Dreamless Sleep and starred in the alternative music video Sky On Fire by Mehro.
